How many languages are spoke on Earth?

It's impossible to say exactly how many languages are spoken on Earth. There's no definitive list and the number is constantly changing due to:

* Dialects: Is a dialect a separate language or just a variation? This is subjective.

* Extinction: Languages are constantly dying out.

* Emergence: New languages are also emerging, especially in areas with diverse populations.

However, estimates range from around 7,000 to 10,000 languages.
