Words that you drop the le and add ly?

You're thinking of words that end in -ble and change to -bly. Here are some examples:

* Possible -> Possibly

* Terrible -> Terribly

* Horrible -> Horribly

* Reasonable -> Reasonably

* Sensible -> Sensibly

* Incredible -> Incredibly

* Comfortable -> Comfortably

* Visible -> Visibly

* Terrible -> Terribly

This is a common spelling rule in English. However, there are exceptions. For example, "whole" becomes "wholly", not "wholely".
