How do singular nouns that end in y preceded by a vowel from their plural?

Singular nouns ending in "y" preceded by a vowel form their plural by simply adding "s":

* Examples:

* toy - toys

* boy - boys

* day - days

* monkey - monkeys

* valley - valleys

The rule is that if the "y" is preceded by a consonant, you change the "y" to "ies" to form the plural.
