The Wind and the Trees
Characters:
* Narrator
* Wind (Group 1)
* Trees (Group 2)
Narrator: In a forest, deep and green, where sunlight dappled the leaves, the wind played a playful game with the trees.
(Wind group inhales deeply and blows softly, making a "whoosh" sound.)
Wind: (Whispering) *Hush, hush, little leaves, I'm coming to play.*
**(Wind group breathes in again, and blows a little harder, rustling the leaves.)*
Trees: (Whispering) *We hear you, wind, we feel your touch, so light and gentle.*
(Wind group blows strongly, making a "whooshing" sound, and the leaves rustle with increasing force.)
Wind: *Let's dance, let's dance, bend your branches high! Let's spin and twirl under the sky!*
(Trees sway rhythmically, their voices rising with excitement.)
Trees: *We're swaying, we're swaying, the wind is our guide, we dance and we twirl, with the wind by our side!*
(Wind group breathes hard, their "whooshing" becomes a roar. The trees sway violently.)
Wind: *I'm strong, I'm strong, I can blow you down, with my might, I'll shake this whole forest crown!*
(Trees struggle to hold their ground, their voices dropping to a low murmur.)
Trees: *Hold fast, hold fast, roots deep in the ground, we won't be blown down, by the wind's mighty sound!*
(The wind gradually calms, the trees slow their swaying.)
Wind: (Softly) *Rest now, little leaves, my play time is done, I'll come back again, when the day is begun.*
(The trees rustle gently, as the wind whispers goodbye.)
Narrator: The forest was still once more, the trees stood tall and proud, knowing that even in the strongest winds, their roots would hold them fast.
