What part of speech is weekly?

"Weekly" can be two parts of speech:

* Adjective: When it describes something that happens or occurs every week. Example: "We have a weekly meeting."

* Adverb: When it modifies a verb, adjective, or other adverb, indicating how often something happens. Example: "The magazine is published weekly."

The part of speech depends on its function in the sentence.
