What language do Caddo people speak?

The Caddo people traditionally spoke Caddo, a language isolate, meaning it is not related to any other known language. However, Caddo is now extinct.

The last fluent speaker of Caddo, Isom E. "Ike" Parker, passed away in 1995. Efforts are underway to revitalize the language, but it remains a significant challenge.

It's important to note that while Caddo itself is extinct, many Caddo people are bilingual and speak English as their primary language.
