Why cloth does not have plural?

It's not that "cloth" doesn't have a plural, but rather that it has two plurals, depending on the context:

* "cloths" is used when referring to multiple pieces of fabric. For example: "She used several different cloths to clean the kitchen."

* "clothes" is used when referring to garments worn by humans. For example: "He changed his clothes before going out."

The distinction between these two plurals is a bit tricky, but essentially, "cloths" is used for fabric in a general sense, while "clothes" is used for specific garments made from that fabric.

Here's a simple way to remember:

* "Cloths" are for cleaning, wiping, or other general uses.

* "Clothes" are for wearing.
