What percent of people in the world are Chinese?

It's difficult to give an exact percentage of the world's population that is Chinese because:

* Defining "Chinese" is complex: It can refer to ethnicity, nationality, or even language.

* Population data is constantly changing: Birth rates, death rates, and migration patterns all impact population figures.

However, we can look at some estimates:

* The world's population is estimated to be around 8 billion people.

* China's population is estimated to be around 1.4 billion people.

Using these figures, we can estimate that approximately 17.5% of the world's population is Chinese.

Keep in mind that this is a rough estimate and might not be completely accurate.
