What language did the words beef and pork originate?

The words "beef" and "pork" have different origins:

* Beef comes from the Old French word "boeuf", which itself comes from the Latin word "bos", meaning "ox".

* Pork comes from the Old French word "porc", which is derived from the Latin word "porcus", meaning "pig".

So, while both words are ultimately derived from Latin, they went through the French language before being adopted into English.
