What do zambians speak?

The official language of Zambia is English.

However, Zambia has over 70 different languages spoken, with the most common being:

* Bemba: The most widely spoken language in Zambia, spoken by about 40% of the population.

* Nyanja: Second most spoken language, spoken by around 25% of the population.

* Lozi: Spoken by around 10% of the population.

* Tonga: Spoken by around 8% of the population.

* Chewa: Spoken by around 4% of the population.

* Lunda: Spoken by around 3% of the population.

While English is used in government, education, and business, many Zambians speak their local languages in daily life.
