What is the language called that Belgian people speak?

It's not that simple! Belgium has three official languages:

* Dutch (also called Flemish) is spoken by about 59% of the population, mainly in the north of the country.

* French is spoken by about 40% of the population, mainly in the south.

* German is spoken by about 1% of the population, mainly in the east.

So, depending on where you are in Belgium and who you're talking to, you'll hear a different language.
