As an adjective:
* "The baker used a special strain of yeast to create a bread that was exceptionally soft and flavorful."
* "The farmer carefully selected his breeding stock to produce a herd of prize-winning cattle."
As part of a verb phrase:
* "The family has been bred to be successful in business for generations."
* "The seeds were bred to resist harsh weather conditions."
* "She was bred in a very strict household, so she has high expectations of herself."
Remember that "bred" is often used figuratively to describe a person's upbringing or character, as in the last example.
