Does English people speaks American English?

It's not accurate to say English people speak "American English." Here's why:

* Different dialects: English people speak various dialects of English, just like people in the United States. There are regional differences in pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar.

* Shared roots: Both American English and British English share a common ancestor, so they have many similarities. However, they have also evolved separately over time, leading to distinct features.

* No one "correct" English: There is no single "correct" version of English. Both American and British English are considered valid forms of the language.

Instead of saying "American English," you could say:

* "Standard American English" - refers to the dialect often used in formal contexts in the United States.

* "British English" - refers to the dialects commonly spoken in the UK.

Ultimately, it's best to avoid making generalizations about language based on nationality. People from both the UK and the US speak many different varieties of English, and both are equally valid.
