What part of speech is input?

"Input" can be a few different parts of speech depending on how it's used in a sentence:

1. Noun: When referring to the information or data that is put into a system or process.

* Example: "The input for the computer program was a list of names."

2. Verb: When it means to enter information or data into a system or process.

* Example: "Please input your password."

3. Adjective: While less common, it can sometimes be used as an adjective to describe something that is given or provided as input.

* Example: "The input device was a keyboard."

So, to figure out the part of speech, you need to look at how the word is used in the sentence!
